If you live with a male, you've probably encountered this dilemma at one point or another. They love their electronics, and they want to show them off...so what solution did you come to? Did you decide to choose your battle and let him show off his plasma? Or did you put your foot down and tell him that if he got to buy a plasma, it had to be housed in the piece of furniture of your choice?
Out in the Open, but with a....frame?
Neatly Tucked Away (but still big and MANLY)
"Well, you said the point was that it mounts to the wall!"
Well, what was it for you? My guy and I compromised and decided not to have a television in our living room. The one we have is in a media cabinet in our bedroom, and his "MAN ROOM" with the projector and movie screen is on the other side of the house. Problem solved!

Koodos
If it's a flat screen, I'd totally treat it as an art element in my livingroom. It's sleek and modern. I like that idea with the frame too. If it were up to my husband, we'd have one in each room....not happening.
1We have TVs in almost every room and it doesn't bother me at all... and I am a home decor freak!! Why am I just now finding this suite??? I also don't mind ceiling fans.
2jgasia, welcome to the suite!!!
3I started it b/c I'm a professional interior designer, and it's a fun way for me to live out my design fantasies without having to be so diplomatic like I have to be with clients!!!! There are things I absolutely adore that I could never get any clients to do. Here, I can post them all and lust after them till my heart's content.
Awesome, RCL! I'm excite to participate!
Geez, I would totally post pics of certain things in my house that I am proud of b/c it was a labor of love... but I can't add images on my blogs lately. I have sent Team a couple of emails, so hopefully I will be able to shortly.
